MP-B23A is an interlocking HDPE roof garden drainage board designed to create a protected drainage and water-retention layer beneath planted roof and podium build-ups. The 410 × 410 × 23 mm modules provide a practical way to move excess water toward outlets while retaining a limited reserve for the vegetation layer. This page focuses on roof-garden drainage; complete modular planting trays are covered on our green roof tray system page.
Where MP-B23A Fits in a Green Roof
The board is normally installed above the waterproofing and protection layers and below the filter fabric and growing medium. Its dimpled profile creates drainage paths so water does not remain trapped against the roof build-up. The interlocking format also helps installers cover large areas in a consistent pattern.
- Extensive and semi-intensive green roofs
- Podium gardens and landscaped terraces
- Planter zones, courtyards and amenity decks
- Landscape areas that require both drainage and limited water retention

Installation Guidance
Confirm the roof slope, outlet locations, waterproofing protection and structural design before installation. Place the modules over a clean, protected surface, connect adjacent boards, and trim carefully around drains and penetrations. Install the specified filter layer above the board before adding growing medium. Final layer selection should follow the architect’s green-roof specification and local drainage requirements.
