Drainage and Retention in One Layer
Shaped cavities in the board retain a limited quantity of water, while open sections allow excess water to pass toward the roof drainage system. This balance can support planted roof assemblies where temporary moisture storage is useful but reliable overflow drainage remains essential.
Waterproofing, root protection, filter geotextile, growing media depth and outlet capacity must be selected as part of the complete project design. The board itself does not replace waterproofing or engineered drainage calculations.
