MZ-70A is a 330 × 450 × 70 mm HDPE plant container with drainage, ventilation and base water-storage features for balcony gardens, nursery pre-growing and modular landscape displays. The deeper 70 mm profile provides more space than the MZ-50A model and can hold a limited moisture reserve beneath the growing medium. It is commonly described as a self-watering plant container, although irrigation frequency still depends on the plant, climate and detailed build-up.
How the Water-Reservoir Base Helps
The formed base separates part of the growing medium from direct standing water while leaving space for drainage and retained moisture. During wet periods, excess water must be able to leave through the designed outlet paths. Between watering cycles, the stored reserve can help buffer short dry intervals. It does not provide unlimited automatic watering, so exposed balconies and hot climates may still require regular or automated irrigation.

Choose species that tolerate the available root depth and site exposure. The growing medium must balance drainage, moisture retention and weight. On roofs or waterproofed terraces, verify saturated load, drainage and membrane protection before installation.
Installation and Maintenance
Place containers on a stable, protected surface with clear routes to drains. Add the specified non-woven filter or separation material and approved growing medium, then plant and irrigate until established. Inspect drainage openings regularly and do not allow fine soil, leaves or roots to block them. In dry or windy conditions, monitor moisture rather than assuming the stored reserve will be sufficient.
