The LY950 HDPE soil stabilization grid forms a structural separation layer between equestrian footing and the prepared subgrade. It is intended for paddocks, open stables, riding areas and access routes where loose surface material can mix with the soil, create ruts or become difficult to maintain in wet conditions.
Ground Reinforcement and Layer Separation
Once installed over a properly designed base and filled with suitable aggregate, the interlocking grid distributes loads across a wider area and helps keep the tread layer above the substructure. Its open cells allow water to pass through the finished surface, supporting a firmer, more consistent footing system. The correct base thickness, geotextile and fill should be selected according to local soil, drainage and loading conditions.
