Agricultural rainwater harvesting can store rainfall from roofs and other suitable catchments for later irrigation and site use. This modular PP system places the storage volume underground, preserving valuable surface space while allowing the tank footprint and capacity to follow the farm, nursery or landscape layout.

Match Storage to Irrigation Demand
Tank sizing should compare rainfall yield from the catchment with crop or landscape demand, seasonal dry periods and the acceptable backup-water frequency. Designers should also allow for first-flush diversion, filtration, overflow and the usable excavation footprint. Stored water is intended only for uses permitted by local regulations; water quality requirements vary by crop, irrigation method and end use.
Typical Agricultural Applications
The system can support irrigation for nurseries, greenhouses, gardens, sports turf and landscaped grounds where harvested rainwater is suitable. Because the tank is assembled from interconnecting sections, designers can create a shallow-wide or narrow-long layout around structures, services and access routes.

Installation and Water Management
Construct the excavation and base to the engineer’s design, assemble the modules and wrap the tank with a sealed membrane for storage. A practical installation also requires pretreatment, inlet and overflow connections, ventilation, inspection access, pumping equipment and controls appropriate to the irrigation system. Surface loading, cover depth and backfill must be verified for the site.
