A reliable modular rainwater tank design starts with hydraulic demand and site constraints, not a generic tank size. Each PP module provides 0.125 m³ nominal volume, so the required module count can be developed from rainfall, catchment runoff, allowable discharge, reuse demand and the usable excavation footprint.

Inputs for Tank Sizing
For attenuation, designers compare inflow from the design storm with the permitted outlet rate. For reuse, they balance rainfall yield against daily non-potable demand and acceptable backup frequency. Infiltration systems additionally require verified soil permeability and groundwater clearance. Structural design must address burial depth, surface loading, backfill and access.
Where the System Is Used
The modular format allows the same component to form shallow-wide, narrow-long or multi-layer tanks beneath landscaped areas, parking zones and other engineered surfaces. Final dimensions should also reserve space for inlets, outlets, pretreatment, overflow, inspection and maintenance access.

Installation Principle
Prepare the excavation and structural base to the engineer’s design, assemble the interconnecting modules, then wrap the tank for its intended function. A permeable geotextile configuration supports infiltration; a sealed geomembrane configuration supports storage and reuse. Inlets, outlets, pretreatment, inspection access, ventilation, backfill and cover depth must be specified for the site.
